Các bạn đã nhận hb 322 cũng nên consider vị trí này vì ngoài tiền hb 322 chắc chắn các bạn sẽ nhận được sự hỗ trợ tài chính rất hậu hĩnh vì đây là European Projects, funding rất lớn.

4 PhD Research Studentships

Four 3 year, fully funded PhD research studentships are available to
work on a range of exciting research areas within the framework of a
large EU funded INFER project
(http://www.infer.eu).

The INFER project research programme focuses on pervasively adaptive
software systems for the development of an open, modular software
platform for predictive modelling applicable in different industries
and a next generation of adaptive soft sensors for on-line prediction,
monitoring and control in the process industry. One of the main goals
of the project is the promotion of a paradigm shift from human labour
and knowledge intensive processes of building predictive systems to
autonomous, evolving complex systems.

Applications are invited for the following 4 projects:
1) Data Pre-processing and Predictive Modelling for the Development of
Adaptive Soft Sensors
2) Handling Multiple Adaptive Elements in Predictive Modelling with
Streaming Data
3) Meta-level Learning in the Context of Multi-component, Multi-level
Evolving Prediction Systems
4) Design of Effective User Interfaces for Incorporation of Expert
Knowledge, Visualisation and Decision Making in the Context of
Evolving Prediction Systems

The students will be joining the Computational Intelligence Research
Group within the Smart Technology Research Centre and will be
primarily based in the School of Design,

Engineering & Computing in Bournemouth but will also be required to
frequently visit and work at our commercial partners' labs (REC in
Poland and Evonik Industries in Germany) providing an outstanding
opportunity to gain a diverse experience of both academic and
commercial environments.

The studentships carry a basic remuneration of £13800 pa tax-free and
a waiver of the full-time research student fees. There are no
restrictions on the nationality of the applicants and the selection
will be based on the candidates' qualifications and experience.

Applicants should have a very strong mathematical background and hold
a first or upper second class honours degree or equivalent in computer
science, mathematics, physics, engineering, statistics or a similar
discipline. Additionally the candidates should have strong programming
experience using any or combination of C++, Matlab or Java. Some more
specific requirements are given in the descriptions of individual
projects.

Hồ sơ của ông đưa cho người ta 100% bị loại chứ nói gì đến Cambridge. Ở đây họ tuyển người nghiêm túc rất cạnh tranh, kể cả bằng đỏ, viết vài bài báo ở Nga cũng chả là gì đối với họ đâu. Họ sẽ tổ chức phỏng vấn 2 vòng, một vòng về khả năng giải quyết bài toán một vòng nói về những nghiên cứu đã từng làm. Bạn nào có xuất thân từ Nga sẽ có lợi thế vì họ có chủ đích tuyển 1 người từ Nga.

Cách đây 1 hôm tôi thông báo thông tin này trên điễn đàn sinh viên Irkursk cả 2 lần đều bị admin xóa bài, sau đó là ban nick. Tôi nghĩ có lẽ admin của diễn đàn sinh viên Irk muốn giấu thông tin riêng cho bạn bè và riêng mình chăng? Vậy thì họđã sai lầm hoàn toàn vì thông tin này đã được tôi post rộng rãi ở diễn đàn sinh viên Tula, Tomsk, Lens, forward đến sinh viên MGU người Nga, và thông báo rộng rãi trên trang vietphd là trang mà rất nhiều sinh viên VN tìm hb lui tới. Ngoài ra thông tin này còn được thông báo public trên dbworld một nơi mà hàng ngàn sinh viên Ân độ, TQ nhìn thấy và cũng sẽ gửi hồ sơ. Do vậy mọi kiểu thâm hiểm che giấu thông tin sẽ ko bao giờ có tác dụng.

Vậy phải qua Nga chờ thời?

Đúng vậy, họ cần người để làm việc cho họ, việc project có thành công hay là không phụ thuộc rất nhiều vào chất lượng người mà họ tuyển được. Project mà thất bại họ sẽ ko có cơ hội được cấp tiếp funding tài trợ nghiên cứu của họ nữa. Do đó ko có chuyện xuề xòa, châm chước gì cả, tất cả đều phải tuân thủ theo qui trình, có hội đồng xét hồ sơ sau đó hội đồng rút danh sách khoảng 5-7 ứng cử viên để phỏng vấn.

Nếu tôi có recommend thì họ chỉ chú ý đến người được recommend hơn 1 chút thôi chứ chả có thêm lợi thế gì nếu thực sự hồ sơ của người đó rất kém. Họ ghi rất rõ yêu cầu khi tuyển : hold
a first or upper second class honours degree cái này là tương đương với xuất sắc nhất trong toàn khóa học.
